Pro Tools 2025.10 includes additional enhancements and support for Sony’s 360 Reality Audio. Sony’s 360 Reality Audio uses Sony’s object-based 360 Spatial Sound technology; this allows sound to be placed in a 360 spherical sound field with location data. This could mean voices whispering below and a sound effect occurring to the right, all creating a more enveloping experience. You can also continue to work within the same Pro Tools audio format session, the functionality does not require render apps or separate software.
With the update there are free and full access tiers to WalkMix Creator and WalkMix Player within Avid Pro Tools. Free access allows users to leverage up to ten audio objects and to export short mixes. Full access allows users to leverage up to 128 audio objects, ADM import, export, and compression tools, and cloud collaboration.
